The Fall Hunting Pilgrimage

Posted by – Shawn Keenan, Water Resources Coordinator

Every Fall, thousands of Michiganders make the annual pilgrimage to their favorite hunting spot.   In some instances, this is the one special time during the year friends and families gather to enjoy the great outdoors and share stories of years past.

Stories will be told around the campfire about the 10-point trophy buck that Uncle Joe took many years ago, which in reality was just a 4-point buck.  Other stories will be about that one enthusiastic hunter who’s quest to capture a deer is an allusive adventure.  For those who do not want to miss out on being able to tell a good tale around the campfire this season and the seasons to come, try stopping by Bass Pro Shops Fall Hunting Classic at Great Lakes Crossing Outlets.

The Fall Hunting Classic is a free event open to the public, which will be held until August 19th.  Hunters and other outdoor sports enthusiasts will be able to gain valuable strategies and techniques used by nationally recognized and local professionals to increase their success out in the field.  Attendees will also be able to check out the latest gear and clothing, which will allow one to stay comfortable and safe while enjoying the great outdoors.

The highlight of the event this weekend will be the ATV Test Drive:

If by chance you miss out on this special event, no need to worry, you can still stop by the store any time to pick up some great tips and knowledge from your local Bass Pro Shops experts.

Perhaps, their expertise will help increase your chance at a successful hunt and an opportunity to tell the tale around the campfire about how you got that 10-point trophy buck this season.
