In celebration of River Day 2015, the City of Auburn Hills held its 12th Annual Fishing Derby at Riverside Park. Over 90 young anglers participated in this annual event, with total attendance surpassing 130.
This year the City stocked the river with 650 brown trout, to give derby participants a better chance at catching a fish.

Although not every kid was fortunate enough to catch a fish during the derby all 92 kids walked away with a raffle prize, thanks to the generosity of this year’s fishing derby sponsors and supporters.

Now that the fishing derby is over, the real challenge begins for all the avid anglers out there to locate the fishing holes where the trout now reside. Reports indicate that many still live in the waters of Auburn Hills.
