On behalf of Mayor McDaniel and the City Council, and the entire staff of the City of Auburn Hills, I wish to extend holiday greetings to all. It has been a productive year in Auburn Hills and as the year comes to a close, we reflect on this past year and are grateful for those who:
- call Auburn Hills home
- have invested in our community
- have visited our community
- attended school here
- have shopped in our stores
- have dined in our restaurants
and the list goes on and on. And perhaps equally important, we are thankful to all those who traveled our streets and exercised patience while the University Drive / I-75 interchange and North Squirrel Road were simultaneously under construction. As we approach 2016, our staff looks forward to a road construction season that is far less intrusive than the one in 2015. Next year we will welcome the first Legoland in Michigan, the opening of the TI Automotive North American HQ’s building on Taylor Road, the groundbreaking of the upscale Villa Montclair residential development, and the groundbreaking of at least a couple more projects that will continue to expand and grow our Downtown. For all the things we know are going to happen, and for those things that we do not yet know about, 2016 will no doubt be another exciting year in our big little City.
All the best for a safe, happy, and healthy holiday season.
Tom Tanghe, City Manager
