Plant Party This Saturday

Posted by – Elizabeth Brennan, Executive Assistant

Unlike our frigid and (gulp) snowy weather last weekend, this Saturday is expected to be a sunny, 74 degrees in beautiful Auburn Hills.  Perfect weather for the City’s Perennial Exchange!

Bring your extra perennial plants to River Woods Park this Saturday between 11:00am and 1:00pm to trade them for new and different varieties.   Simply divide your plants into small groupings, put them in plastic containers (containers you don’t need back) and attach a note to identify the type of plant and whether it prefers sun or shade.   A master gardener will be on hand to answer questions, give gardening advice and help identify mystery plants.

While you’re there, enjoy sweet treats and participate in a gardening gift raffle.  Round up your friends, have some fun and grow your gardens in the process.  By the way…the event is free.  River Woods Park is located just south of M-59 on Squirrel Road.  For more information, please call 248.364.6946.

Remember 11:00 a.m. Saturday – the early bird gets the worm!
