Citizen and Business Survey Results

IMG_1511[2]

Over the past few months, the Public Affairs Research Laboratory at Oakland University conducted two surveys for the City of Auburn Hills.  One is a citizen survey and the other a survey of businesses.  On Monday evening, July 11, 2016, the City Council in a workshop, received the results of these two surveys.  First, I want to thank those staff and citizens who participated in developing the survey with Dr. Patrick Piskulich from OU.  It goes without saying that OU is a great resource located within our community.  But I would also like to thank those who took the time to complete and return the survey.  Certainly, it is easy to sit on the sidelines and be critical of your local government.  However, it is when you provide us feedback that allows us to consider changes that make us an even stronger and better community.  In addition to the tabulated survey results, we will begin to share with you, there were also dozens of pages of additional comments made by those who completed the survey.  Rest assured we will read every one of them, good or bad, and act upon them where possible and/or practical.

Rather than attempt to bombard our citizen and business community with pages and pages of results all at once, we will be utilizing this blog to release the data a little at a time in the weeks and months ahead.  Of course the results, in their entirety, can be obtained electronically upon request by anyone who wishes to receive them.

We look forward to sharing the results of our survey data with everyone and continuing to work to improve all aspects of the City of Auburn Hills within the resources available to us.
