An application has been submitted to the City of Auburn Hills by General Development Company to construct a 20,070 sq. ft. technology and research facility for Renishaw. The proposed facility will be located at the south end of Deepwood Drive, within the Oakland Technology Park. Total investment in the project is estimated at $5 million.
Renishaw is one of the world’s leading engineering and scientific technology companies with expertise in precision measurement and health care. The new facility will enable Renishaw to provide turnkey measuring solutions to the automotive industry, including Chrysler, Ford and GM. The company also supports the aerospace and medical industries.
Those interested in learning more about this proposal are encouraged to attend the public hearing at the Planning Commission meeting scheduled for Wednesday, July 13th at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chamber at City Hall. A final decision on the project is anticipated to be made by the City Council on Monday, July 25th.
