We all know how advancements in technology have changed the way we take and keep our photos.  All but gone are the days of buying film and patiently waiting to pick up double prints at the local drug store.  Remember that?!  Quality digital images are now easily captured, edited, exchanged, saved, deleted and sometimes, maybe even printed.

3-D Innovation/Gifts Engraved, a small Michigan-based business has set up shop right here in Auburn Hills and they have a unique way to preserve that really important photo in the form of a 3-D crystal which can be displayed.

A hot, high-definition laser is used to imprint the crystal, vaporizing it at different points to pixelate and create the 3-D image.  The original image can be edited to improve the brightness, contrast and sharpness of the final product and the crystal surface is not scarred or damaged in this process.  3-D Innovation also works with professional photographers for all special occasions photos.  Perfect for holiday gift-giving.
