An application has been submitted to the City of Auburn Hills by Pulte Homes to construct a 36-unit detached condominium development on a 12.11 acre site located south of Bald Mountain Road, east of the Auburn Hills Church of Christ.
The proposed project will be developed per the City’s master plan, which allows up to three homes per acre provided they are clustered together to preserve at least 25% of the overall site as open space. It will be a walkable community with a network of internal sidewalks and a trail system, which will allow the future residents the opportunity to remain active.

The development will be geared toward older adults and those desiring ranch-style homes. The new residences will incorporate several Universal Design elements that will allow them to be usable and accessible by people of all ages and abilities. Further, the community will provide a “maintenance-free lifestyle” with grass cutting, snow removal, and common area upkeep being addressed by the future homeowners association.

Those interested in learning more about this proposal are encouraged to attend the Planning Commission meeting scheduled for Wednesday, February 14th at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chamber at City Hall. A final decision on the application is anticipated by the City Council on Monday, February 26th.
