We’re pleased to report that a development application has been submitted to the City of Auburn Hills by J.B. Donaldson Company to construct a new 14,350 square foot corporate headquarters and technical center for Matrix Engineered Systems on a vacant parcel located at 1850 Taylor Road.  The site is situated at the southeast corner of Taylor Road and Giddings Road, adjacent to the Fieldstone Golf Club.

Matrix Engineered Systems is a full-service company specializing in industrial automation and controls engineering.  They were formed in 2000 with just three people and have since grown to over 20 employees.  The City is excited to be able to retain Matrix as they plan to relocate from their current location at 1780 Opdyke Court.  The new $2 million facility will help this dynamic company continue to grow their business.

Those interested in learning more about this proposal are encouraged to attend the Planning Commission meeting scheduled for Wednesday, February 14th at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chamber at City Hall.  A final decision on the application is anticipated by the City Council on Monday, February 26th.

If approved by the City Council, the project’s construction would begin in April 2018 with completion anticipated by December 2018.
