The City is pleased to announce that Lucas’ Coney Island, which has been a staple “eat spot” in the community, is now open at their new location at 2010 N. Opdyke Road in the Stadium Shopping Center. After being closed for almost a year, residents and businesses are pleased that Lucas has reopened – just a stone’s throw from their former location.

Although the restaurant may be new and more modern-looking, Lucas still serves their much desired Coney Island hotdogs and chili fries, as well as “The People’s Choice” deli sandwich, chicken gyro, patty melt, Mediterranean pita, and the Traverse City salad.

Lucas is open early every morning (Monday thru Friday – 7:00 a.m. and Saturday thru Sunday – 8:00 a.m.) ready to serve customers a hot cup of coffee and something hot off the grill, like a western or farmer’s omelet, pancakes, French toast and the tried-and-true breakfast of eggs, bacon, hash browns, and toast.
