On Monday, December 10, 2018, the Auburn Hills Chamber of Commerce held its annual Silver & Gold Awards at the Townsend Hotel. The program honored business and community leaders in the areas of innovation, leadership, and community involvement. It also recognized volunteers and supporters of the Auburn Hills Chamber.

The event recognized individuals and companies who represent “sterling” qualities of excellence and leadership.

In years past, we have given out the City of Auburn Hills Business Success Story Award. This is given to a company, large or small, that has made significant strides within their business. This award also recognizes the outstanding commitment to a company’s employees, its mission and overall achievements within an organization. This year we recognized Moceri Companies.

In addition, Munetrix, founded by Auburn Hills Council Member Bob Kittle, received the Lucerne International Excellence in People Development Award.  This award is given to a company that recognizes investing in their employees’ professional development, creates benefits for their overall performance and the organization.

New to the event this year was the Mayor’s Recognition Award – The Mayor’s Recognition Award is bestowed upon a recipient who has gone above and beyond to contribute to the success of the community by way of time, talent, and/or treasure. The award seeks to recognize those who exemplify the spirit of giving back to the community. FCA US LLC was chosen to receive the first Mayor’s Recognition award.

This last recognition is very special to us. We are very proud to announce that our very own City Manager Tom Tanghe was presented with the Stella Wealth Management of Raymond James Higher Standard Award. This award recognizes an individual who has shown high standards in business acumen and service.
