In a constant effort to maintain safe and navigable roads, the Auburn Hills Department of Public Works is always looking to maximize our efforts. One way in which we do this is by plowing roads in a staggered team formation. This process typically involves two or three staggered trucks simultaneously tackling a multi-lane road.

Instead of using a single truck to plow the multi-lane road over a longer period of time, the staggered method creates safer road conditions for our residents. It prevents snow windrows or mounds of snow, from forming in the middle of the road, creating optimal navigation for drivers.
When you see staggered plows clearing the roads, please give them space, and for your safety DO NOT attempt to pass. As always, be safe out there.
