If you are one of those people who believe in the highly scientific detection method Punxsutawney Phil used to determine the end of winter, spring is just around the corner (well, we can only hope)! That being said, people generally plan to update and improve their yards at this time of year. Here are a few things to remember:

- Planning on installing a deck or patio this spring? Remember to call MISS DIG before digging the footings or post holes as to not accidentally damaging water or sewer lines, or wires to the water meter reading device.
- Maybe you’re planning on replacing or installing the siding on your home? Make sure to pay attention to the reading device that is connected to the home. Many times, contractors accidentally cut the wires when removing the box which can result in a potentially high water bill until repaired.
- If you are thinking about enclosing a ditch line, remember to get it inspected to make sure you have the correct slope for drainage.
These are some of our recommendations to consider as we move closer to spring. If you have any questions, give us a call at 248.391.3777.
Happy Spring!
