Well the title might be an overstatement, but the battle for healthy turf can become overwhelming if you don’t keep your lawns properly fertilized. We over at DPW have already started to treat our many municipal grounds, and now is the time to start your first round of fertilization if you want to make your lawn the envy of the neighborhood.

Treating your lawn

This starts with a quality fertilizer plus pre-emergent herbicide. At the City, it is important for us to use the highest quality products to ensure great results. We use Lesco 18-0-4 (18= Nitrogen, 0= Phosphorus- Potassium, 4= Soluble Potash) with crabgrass control and apply fertilization ourselves. However, we have many lawn and garden friendly stores in our community that provide a variety of options to help with beautifying your lawn.
