National Public Works Week: Public Utilities

The Public Utilities division is made up of 13 full-time personnel. Public Utilities is responsible for the purchase and treatment our water and sewer services.

In addition to supporting various initiative and projects, Utilities is responsible for over 180 miles of water main, nearly 200 miles of sewer main, more than 2,600 water system valves, 2,500+ hydrants, over 2,900 manholes, four sanitary sewer lift stations, a booster station, and a water tower.

Additionally, they are responsible for the City’s Cross Connection Control Program, construction related inspections for water and sewer services, and metering and utility billing.
