Absentee voter ballots are available for registered voters in all elections. They provide a convenient method for casting a ballot when a voter is unable to attend the polls on Election Day.
With the passage of the statewide ballot proposal 18-3 in November, all eligible and registered voters in Michigan may now request an absent voter ballot without providing a reason.
As a convenience to our voters, the City Clerk’s Office maintains a “Permanent Absentee Voter List.”
Benefits for adding your name to the Permanent Absentee List include:
- You will automatically be notified of an upcoming election
- You will avoid potential long lines at the polls
- You can take your time studying the ballot and vote it in the comfort of your home
How it works?
To vote by absentee ballot, sign up below, return the application that we send to you, and we will send you a ballot. Please note, you must complete an application prior to each election in order to receive an absentee ballot.
