City Council’s Annual Goals and Objectives Workshop

On Monday, June 10, 2019, City Council met for their annual Goals & Objectives workshop at the University Center in downtown Auburn Hills.  The purpose of this annual event is to establish the goals for the next year, so in this case, for 2020.

The workshop is scheduled around this time each year right before we begin working on the next year’s budget. The city’s fiscal year is January 1, so the budget process kicks off in June and is adopted in October for the following year’s operations. The City Council is joined by the department heads of the city and the city manager, and the evening’s workshop is facilitated by Dr. Patrick Piskulich, a professor of public administration at Oakland University. Dr. Piskulich has been our facilitator for a number of years now and has done a great job keeping us focused and helping us to formulate our goals and how we will achieve them. Anyone wishing to review the current Goals for 2019 may do so by clicking here
