The City of Auburn Hills is always seeking opportunities to improve its infrastructure, while also taking advantage of shared funds provided by other governing bodies. The Oakland County Board of Commissioners recently approved $45,488 for much-needed improvements to Taylor Road within the City. The funds are provided by Oakland County’s 2019 Pilot Local Road Improvement Program which aims to encourage or assist businesses to locate and expand within the County.
The grant supports planned concrete slab and joint removal and replacement as and where needed.

Taylor Road is home to many of our commercial businesses, including Visioneering, Inc. This company has become a leading designer, manufacturer, and installer of complex, high-quality tooling systems for the aerospace and defense industry. Visioneering, Inc. is also constructing a 91,200 square foot building addition and an expanded parking lot at 2055 Taylor Road, attracting new jobs and economic activity to our City.
The local road improvement project work on Taylor Road is expected to be completed by September of this year.
We are grateful for Oakland County’s willingness to invest in Auburn Hills and its commitment to attract business development to our County.
