As part of the Department of Public Works Road Division, the sign shop is responsible for the traffic control signs in our city. This includes fabricating, replacing or installing new signs that have been requested by the Police Department. Having the ability to create signs opens the door to occasionally make signs outside of the regulatory, warning and guide signs that are seen on our roadways. Recently we were tasked with updating the signs at Fire Station 1, Fire Station 3 and the “Welcome to Downtown” sign located on North Squirrel Road, south of M-59. The signs look great and are a testament to the talent within the Department.
