Riverside Park’s latest improvements were celebrated on Wednesday, July 22 as Mayor Pro-tem John Burmeister, along with other guests, cut the ribbons on a new play structure and pavilion.

The play structure was sponsored by the Auburn Hills Tax Increment Finance Authority, while the new pavilion was a donation from Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. This wraps up the vast majority of the improvements that have taken place over the last two years to make Riverside Park the gem it now is in our downtown.

The opening of the Knight Amphitheater and splash pad last year, the placement of public art, and the addition this year of the play structure and pavilion round out plans for this amazing community asset. Pathways, the river, and plenty of picnic areas make this park a great place to visit as part of our growing and exciting downtown. If you haven’t seen and enjoyed everything that Riverside Park has to offer, we invite you to check it out. And don’t forget that our Friday night downtown concert series is currently underway. More information can be found on the concert series by visiting our website at www.auburnhills.org or by contacting the Recreation Department at 248.370.9353.
