Last week I attended The Main Event at the Flagstar Strand Theatre in Pontiac to honor and celebrate organizations, businesses and volunteers for their efforts to energize and preserve downtowns throughout Oakland County.  The evening highlighted how downtowns have partnered and emerged from the challenges over the last two years through programming and creativity.

The Auburn Hills Downtown Development Authority was recognized for their work over the last two years by being promoted to the Partner Level of Main Street Oakland County.  Another highlight of the evening was hearing from keynote speaker Mary Means, founder of the National Main Street Program.

A big thank you to our DDA Board of Directors for their vision and commitment. Their contributions and support will continue making downtown Auburn Hills vibrant and successful in the years to come.
