TA Systems Selects Auburn Hills for New $13.5 Million Headquarters

We’re pleased to report that TA Systems has submitted a development application to the City of Auburn Hills for the vacant parcel located at 2550 Pontiac Road, which was the former home of the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church.   TA Systems proposes to construct a new 71,775 square foot clean, high-tech facility that will serve as their new corporate headquarters, bringing more than 100 jobs to the city.  The total investment is estimated at $13.5 million.

For over 40 years, TA Systems has been providing assembly solutions that automate and accelerate manufacturing processes for businesses.  This new project is intended to showcase their business. It is proposed in such a manner as to be aesthetically pleasing both in architectural design and site improvements, especially to the residents living north of Pontiac Road.

TA Systems worked with City staff to develop a site plan design that provides no vehicular access directly to Pontiac Road as all vehicular access will be provided to Cambridge Court.  The operation of the proposed facility will be very high-tech and clean and will produce no noise or odor.  The company operates one shift during regular business hours. The building will have no loading docks, just overhead doors, and will utilize, on average, a couple of trucks per week.  Lastly, TA Systems plans to implement a high-quality landscape plan with the intent to save numerous mature trees along Pontiac Road.

Those interested in learning more about this proposal are encouraged to attend the Planning Commission meeting scheduled for Wednesday, July 13th at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chamber at City Hall.  A final decision on the application is anticipated by the City Council on Monday, July 25th.

If granted site plan approval from the City Council, TA Systems will likely start construction on the facility in July 2023, with anticipated completion by mid-2024.

Auburn Hills looks forward to working with TA Systems to successfully implement this project.  With all the choices a business has regarding its location, we are honored and fortunate that TA Systems is considering this significant investment in our community.
