After a few years of designing, planning, and fundraising, this year’s Memorial Day Parade included the dedication of the new Veteran’s Memorial at Aaron Webster Cemetery. The new memorial pays respect and honors those from Auburn Hills who made the ultimate sacrifice on behalf of our country. Located in the center of the cemetery, the memorial is flanked by stone pillars, trees, and sidewalks leading to it. Flags, monuments and an eternal flame remind us of the absolute importance of this tribute and why it is a place of reflection and solitude. We hope our residents, as well as any visitor to our community, will take the opportunity to visit the memorial and honor those for which it has been constructed.
