RIVERSIDE PARK SPLASH PAD DRAWS A WAVE OF ACTIVITY

For those who have already been enjoying the new splash pad at Riverside Park, you have probably realized that it’s in big demand. The level of demand has caused us to re-think its operation, including the cost associated with it essentially running ten hours per day, seven days a week. Now that’s a big water bill!

As a result, we will begin charging non-residents a nominal fee of $3.00 per user per day (CASH ONLY). That covers as much time as you care to spend at the splash pad during its regular operating hours. Upon arrival to the splash pad, you will be greeted by an attendant who will collect the fee and you will be issued a wristband before entering the splash pad area. The wristband must be worn at all times to remain in the splash pad.  Residents will continue to use the splash pad at no cost to them, however, residents must show proper identification to prove their residency. Residents using the splash pad will also be required to wear a wristband while at the splash pad but again, there is no fee for residents who present the attendant with proper identification.

Wondering what forms of identification are accepted at the splash pad?

  • Michigan Driver’s License
  • State ID
  • Auburn Hills Community Center Card
