That’s right.  How’s that for a compliment!  Well, today is NATIONAL COMPLIMENT DAY.

 I have come to the conclusion that there is a day for everything.  But this is a pretty good one.  Simple, positive, and something everyone can do.  And if you’re not capable of giving a compliment, I guess all I can say is that I feel sorry for you.  A lot of time is spent on social media being critical of others. It seems that many people would rather say something negative than anything at all.  Well, today is your chance to show your friends, family, co-workers, or even a stranger that as a member of society, we are still very capable of paying compliments to each other and that the negativity we see and hear around us is really not the norm. 

I hope you will join me in genuinely complimenting those around you for the good things they do or for being the good people that they are.  For all of our City staff, I want to say that they are all part of a Great Team and I appreciate them for the good work they do to serve the citizens, businesses and visitors to the community.
