MSU Federal Credit Union’s Regional Office to Rise along University Drive

Bulldozers, excavators and cranes have been very active at the southwest corner of University Drive and Pond Run Drive preparing the site for the future home of Michigan State University Federal Credit Union.  MSUFCU’s new building will be three-stories tall and 50,519 square feet in size. It will feature a drive-thru facility for added convenience.

Founded in 1937, MSUFCU is owned and operated by members of the Michigan State University and Oakland University communities. The credit union will offer financial services to faculty, staff, students, alumni association members and their families as well as a variety of select employee groups.  MSUFCU is touted as the largest university-based credit union in the world.

This new facility will be a regional office for the East Lansing based credit union and will serve Oakland University and southeast Michigan members.  The new facility will also house support services such as a call center, IT help desk functions, and human resources.  It will also include a designated student intern center, a community meeting room and four guest suites designed for overnight stay available to credit union executives and employees attending evening events at Oakland University and throughout the Metro Detroit area.

Completion of the new facility is expected to take place sometime in the summer of 2021. The total investment for the project is estimated at $16 million.
