Big Buck Brewery To Be Transformed Into The “HUB”

Posted by – Steve Cohen, Director of Community Development

It’s hard to believe, but it’s true.  After almost 10 years of vacancy and neglect, the former Big Buck Brewery building will see new life.

An application has been submitted to the City of Auburn Hills to transform the dilapidated building, located at 2550 Takata Drive, into a “football-bowling” entertainment venue anticipated to be named the “HUB.”  The interior will include 16 courts with spectating and eating areas, along with two bars, fast casual restaurant, and two private function rooms.

Plans include removing the beer bottle/grain silo and adding an enclosed outdoor deck

You may be wondering … what is football-bowling?  The key to this unique game is to knock down bowling pins with a football, while having tons of fun hanging out with friends and family.

Those interested in learning more about this proposal are encouraged to attend the public hearing at the Planning Commission meeting scheduled for Wednesday, September 14th at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chamber at City Hall.  A final decision on the application is anticipated to be made by the City Council on Monday, September 26th.
