FANUC AMERICA OPENS NORTH CAMPUS IN AUBURN HILLS

On Tuesday, Fanuc America held a grand opening celebration at its new 461,000 sq-ft North Campus robotics and automation facility in Auburn Hills. This $51 million expansion, expected to create 100 jobs.

Our team worked diligently to support this project to make sure we exceeded the expectations of FANUC. The team at General Development also did a fantastic job keeping this project on track. I am so proud to say that together, we delivered this project in less than a year. This event was held exactly 364 days after the ground breaking ceremony, which is pretty remarkable.

President and CEO of FANUC Corp. Kenji Yamaguchi giving remarks

This new facility, now the third largest industrial building in Auburn Hills, will be used to provide the latest technologies in robotics, CNCs and ROBOMACHINEs. FANUC products are used in many industries, including, automotive, aerospace, consumer goods, and medical devices.

In addition, the event featured two Fanuc CR-15iA collaborative robots packing bags of weekend nutrition for a local Michigan chapter of Blessings in a Backpack, a non-profit organization that provides children living in food-insecure households with bags of food for the weekend. Attendees also wrote special notes to recipients that will be included in the backpacks.

We wish FANUC all the best on their success and look forward to their continued growth in our community.
