Charitable Giving

For those who may not know, Auburn Hills has a charitable foundation that has been operating for a number of years.  Citizens and businesses alike make charitable contributions to the foundation and the monies received are eventually granted directly back into helping those in need in Auburn Hills.  A volunteer staff and volunteer board of directors manage the activities of the foundation and therefore, there is very little expense outside of basic items such as office supplies.  The Board of Directors is made up of citizens and business leaders who are committed to making the City of Auburn Hills among the best places to live and conduct business.  The foundation is a registered non-profit as an IRS recognized 501(c)(3).  Some of our grants have gone to funding such things as:  Senior meals program, Knight Amphitheater, Boys & Girls Club, Blessings in a Backpack, Neighborhood House, and others.

If you might be considering a last minute year-end charitable contribution or a charitable donation at any time throughout the year, we hope you might consider the Auburn Hills Community Foundation. Knowing that your donation is utilized for very little overhead expenses and that it will remain right here in Auburn Hills makes the foundation an ideal recipient.  Our motto:  Charity Begins at Home.

Donations can be made by check in any amount and no amount is too small.  Send your donation and make your check payable to: Auburn Hills Community Foundation, 1827 North Squirrel Road, Auburn Hills, MI  48326.  You will receive a letter acknowledging your donation and recognizing your generosity.  And best of all, know that you will be helping your neighbors right here in the community.
